Walk-in cooler and freezer repair
The most common call on this site. Temperature climbing, ice where it should not be, or a unit that runs and runs and never pulls down.
Same day Stock is at risk for as long as it waits.

Businesses usually call about this when the equipment has already had one bad day, which is the right moment rather than a late one.
The signs that bring this up
- Product at the door end fine and product at the back end soft
- Water on the floor of the walk-in, or a drain line that keeps freezing
- Ice building on the evaporator, the coil, or the ceiling of the box
- A unit that runs constantly and never satisfies the thermostat
- A box that has crept up past 41°F and will not come back down
What the work involves
A tech will normally take suction and discharge pressures, check superheat and subcooling, and look at whether the defrost cycle is actually terminating — working out whether the box is short of refrigerant, short of airflow, or short of a working control. Those three read almost identically from outside the box and lead to completely different repairs.
$450–$4,500 — typical range, not a quote. What your site needs can only be settled by a licensed contractor who comes out and looks at the equipment.
Dispatch
Hand it to a refrigeration contractor
A couple of sentences and a temperature is plenty. We route it to a contractor whose New Jersey HVACR licence we have checked, and step out of the way.
Where this is relevant
Listed by trade pattern rather than by map, since a seasonal strip and a year-round grocery need different things.
Toms River core
Route 37 and Route 9 retail, downtown, and the medical campus — year-round trade and the shortest drives on this site.
Barrier island and beachfront
Seasonal shore trade: a spring restart every year, a brutal peak, and salt working on the outdoor coils the whole time.
Northern county food retail
Grocery and catering at real scale, mostly independent, mostly without a national facilities contract behind it.
Pinelands and retirement west
Retirement-community dining rooms, pharmacy refrigeration and produce cooling, scattered across a lot of ground.
Southern mainland and bayshore
The Route 9 run, where a crew heading south can cover several towns in a day and a single call is a long drive.
